The Vision of Peach County School District is Learning Today–Leading Tomorrow!

Wanda Stewart, Ed. D
Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction

Welcome to Peach County School District's Curriculum and Instruction webpage!  The Curriculum and Instruction Department is the heartbeat of the school system.  Under the auspices of Curriculum and Instruction are the Curriculum Coordinators,  Instructional Facilitators, Gifted, ESOL, Professional Development and Technology.  This team directly coordinates state and local instructional initiatives.

Peach County School District prepares all children to realize the District’s purpose of Learning Today-Leading Tomorrow by providing them the tools they need to live in a rapidly changing world.  Students must be prepared to think critically, to solve problems, to collaborate, to foster relationships, to be flexible, to adapt to change, and to communicate effectively.  The District provides learning experiences tailored to meet the individual needs of every student.  Standards are clear, attainable, and high enough to ensure that all students are intellectually challenged.  Assessments are designed to inform students of their degree of success.  Assessments also provide teachers with information needed to design work that is meaningful, challenging and engaging for each student.

District-wide initiatives such as Standards-Based Classrooms, Project-Based Learning, Differentiated Instruction and the use of Increased Learning Time have been implemented to ensure the students meet the desired outcomes.
